I recently read a BBC News article about a 2012 Olympic volunteer couple in Walsall, England who were married in an Olympic theme.
“Nicola-Jane Stanton, 42, and Graham Clegg, 52, from Walsall, said their vows at All Saints Church in Bloxwich on the day of the opening ceremony. Decorations for the reception included Olympic memorabilia and the couple plan to show the opening ceremony at the evening reception. They are both London 2012 Local Leaders and helped plan sports events in their area before the Games. The couple, who both work as teachers at Cheslyn Hay Sport and Community College in Walsall, said they had chosen the date deliberately.”
