Courier -Journal Staff Writer The investigation by several federal agencies into the Unification Church, concern among Roman Catholic bishops over government intrusion into church affairs and a look at the changing ecumenical scene, in Louisville are among the topics covered tomorrow on the radio show "Religion Today." The show reports on people and events in the world of religion and is produced by the Kentucky Council of Churches in cooperation with Transylvania University, Lexington. The program will be broadcast at 6:15 a.m. on WVEZ-FM. In other news of religion: Former pastors of the Beechwood Baptist Church, 201 Biltmore Road, will take over their old pulpit for the morning (10:45) and evening (7:30) services during the church's silver anniversary celebration.

Tomorrow, Dr. James B. Sawyer, the church's founding pastor, will speak. Dr. C.

Wilton Gaddy, who replaced Sawyer after he retired in 1971, will speak on Nov. 26. Dr. Howard Hovde, who became pastor in 1973, will preach on Dec. 3.

The church's current pastor is Dr. Joseph R. Estes. The Tennessee Temple Ladies Chorale will perform at 7 p.m. next day in the Beth Haven Baptist Church, 5515 Johnstown Road.

The 41-member chorale is composed of students from Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga. The Kentucky Brass Arts Quintet will perform at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Central Presbyterian Church, 318 W. Kentucky St. The senior choir of the First Congregational Methodist Church, 3810 Garland will hold its annual concert at 7:30 p.m.

tomorrow. Barbra Donnelly will talk about family planning in Haiti when the forum of the First Unitarian Church, Fourth and York streets, meets at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Ms. Donnelly is regional chairman of the Volunteer Corporation of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.

The Rev. Gregory Wallace of Massie Zion Baptist Church will speak at a pro- LOUISVILLE AREA DEATHS Charles F. Bell, 66, formerly of Louisville, died Wednesday in Bradenton, Fla. He was a retired salesman at the old Booth Fishery and a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma Duffy.

William Lee Blackwood, 35, Rineyville, died Wednesday in an automobile accident in Tazewell, Tenn. He was a farmer, a construction worker, a veteran of the Vietnam War and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, the former Joelena Stewart; a daughter, Jennifer and a son, William L. Blackwood both of Elizabethtown; and his mother, Mrs. Thelma Mayes of North Carolina. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dixon, Atwood Adkins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, with burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Doris Marie Mullins Dickenson, 49, of 3003 Pelham Court, died Thursday at her home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Jorge Quiroa said the death apparently was a suicide. She was a native of Davie, W. and day care director at the First Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Q. Dickenson four sons, Jeffrey Thomas Q. II, James C. and Steven B. Dickenson; a daughter, Rebecca Sue Hodges; her parents, Mr.

and Mrs. James A. Mullins of Bristol, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of God, 4408 Taylorsville Road, with a graveside service Monday in Bristol, Va.

Visitation at Arch L. Heady Hikes Point Funeral Home, 4109 Taylorsville Road, will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until I p.m. Sunday, when the body will be taken to the church. Frans H.

Erickson, 94, Meadows South Nursing Home, died at 1 a.m. Friday at SS. Mary Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Sweden, a retired carpenter and a Lutheran. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.

James L. Burke; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Meiszner Funeral Home in Chicago, with burial in Ridgeway Cemetery there. Robert Edward Gravatte 78, of 1013 E.

Caldwell died at 6:05 p.m. Friday at Highlands Baptist Hospital. He was a retired wood finisher. Survivors include seven sons, Robert E. Joseph William Kenneth Thomas Norman J.

and Gravatte; five daughters, Mrs. Ralports Dresing, Mrs. Mary Heil, Mrs. Elfrieda Pena, Mrs. Alice Bacigalupi and Jo Ann Gravatte; 50 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catholic Church, Schiller and Kentucky streets, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison avenues, will be after 4 p.m.

Saturday. McKinley Hooper, 77, of 4010 Vermont died Thursday at his home. He was a native of Granada, and a retired employee at Brownwood Preserving Co. Survivors include his wife, the former Lula Mae Kimple; two stepsons, Carl and Louis Jennings; a stepdaughter, Claude Dauphin, French actor, dies Associated Press PARIS Claude Dauphin, the veteran French actor who introduced Arthur to Paris audiences and Jean-Paul Sartre to Broadway, died in Paris early yesterday. He was 75.

Dauphin died in an ambulance en route to a hospital after suffering an intestinal block. A star of light comedy before World War II, Dauphin developed into a great dramatic actor in the -war years, in roles ranging from Willie Loman to Voltaire, and from Shylock to one of the damned in Sartre's "Huit Clos." He fought with the Free French in the war, during which he perfected his English. After the war, he started his trans-Atlantic career. He was a regular visitor on Broadway in the 1950s, and he also appeared in -many Hollywood films, including "The Quiet American." gram in the First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Wednesday. Way, died at 12:25 p.m. Friday at Veterans Hospital. He was a native of Clark County, a retired employee at International Harvester a veteran of World War II and a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Julia Spond; a son, Donald Sloan of Mishawaka, a daughter, Marcedia Alread of Hopkinsville; and four grandchildren.

Visitation at Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville, will be after 4 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Dorothy Zapp Sommer, 81, of 1902 Lowell died at 12:25 p.m. Friday at Westminster Terrace.

She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation at the funeral home will be after noon Sunday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Heart Fund.

Mary Ellen Meredith Sparrow, 59, of 2629 Slevin died at 5:25 a.m. Friday at Jewish Hospital. Survivors include a brother, Tom W. Meredith, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Bowers.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Ronald G. Dunn Son Funeral Home, 518 N. 26th with burial in Rineyville Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 1 p.m.

Saturday. Pamela Cornelison Toro, 31, formerly of Louisville, died Friday in an automobile accident in San Truce, Puerto Rico, where she had been living. Survivors include her husband, Enrique Toro; a daughter, Andrea Toro; a son, Kristian Toro; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Cornelison.

The funeral and burial will be held Saturday in Puerto Rico. Miss Carrie Tucker, 89, Westminster Terrace, died there at 9 a.m. Thursday. She was a native of Paris, a retired registered nurse at the Visiting Nurse Association and a member of the Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church. The body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Terrace, 2116 Buechel Bank Road. Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs.

Emma R. Walker, 99, formerly of Louisville, died Thursday in Indianapolis. She was a member of the St. James United Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs.

Mabel F. Taylor of Indianapolis and Mrs. Roberta A. Tucker of Macon, two sons, Norman L. Walker of Greenwood, and Jack H.

Third with burial in South Jefferson Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Southern Indiana death CLARKSVILLE Ralph H. Edwards 54, died Friday.

Visitation at Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville will be after 4 p.m. Saturday. Man is arrested in stabbing case A 30-year-old Louisville man was arrested by city police Thursday night in connection with the stabbing of a Jeffersonville, man about four hours earlier. Richard Pugh, 30, of the 400 block of East Kentucky Street, was picked up in the 1600 block of South 13th Street at 8:35 p.m. and charged with assault and burglary.

Police said Shirley Hayden of 1616 S. 11th reported that as she was leaving her apartment, a man armed with a knife forced his way inside and threatened her. She told police that she was able to escape and run next door. The man then went to an upstairs room and stabbed Theodore Brice, 37, four or five times as he slept. Brice was taken to Louisville General Hosptial where he is listed in satisfactory condition with multiple stab wounds in the abdomen.

The body will be cremated. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to charity. Jerome A. Rueve, 62, of 23002 Garland died Friday at his home. He was a retired employee at International Harvester where he worked 29 years.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rose Bowling; three daughters, Mrs. Joy Quiggins, Mrs. Pat Beckmann and Mrs. Shirley Badgett; a son, Jerome A. Rueve 20 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. Sixth with burial in St. Michael Cemetery.
